There are 135 total employees as of July 2015 including more than 25 in Lae, 70 in Port Moresby and 40 in Rabaul. Almost all employees are PNG Nationals with only a handful of expats across the three stores. Plumbers and Builders Supplies in Rabual has a three-month training program for students who have finished their trade courses in plumbing and sales from some of the local vocational schools. Students are given on the job training and are paid a stipend of K150.00 a fortnight to meet their transport and lunch expenses. This ongoing program sees about 30 students trained each year. Similarly students from the local business schools are trained in office administration skills. They undergo three months of on-the-job training, with quite a few students absorbed into the regular work force.
